I am a bodysurfer and I use a handplane. A handplane is like a tiny surfboard for one hand. It helps you glide through the water, gives you a boost of speed and a good edge to hold a line on steep and hollow waves. The one I use was handmade by a friend Martijn Stiphout at Ventana Surfboards and hand painted by his mom. It is a joy to use and to see. It gave me an idea for a graphic, a tool for riding waves, made by hand.
